About
Learn more about VersAbility TECH’s mission, vision, and history, powered by VersAbility Resources.
Our Mission
The VersAbility TECH empowers individuals of all abilities with the skills, credentials, and support services needed to be both workforce-ready and community-ready. Through inclusive, hands-on training in maritime and manufacturing fields, we help people gain independence, grow their careers, and contribute to a stronger regional economy.

Our Vision
We envision a Hampton Roads region where talent is measured by potential—not by disability. By aligning training programs with high-demand industries such as shipbuilding, logistics, and advanced manufacturing, VersAbility TECH aims to build a more diverse, future-ready workforce and close critical skills gaps for employers across the region.
Our History
VersAbility TECH grew out of VersAbility Resources’ successful Future of Work (FOW) pilot program, launched in 2022 to open skilled trades pathways for individuals with disabilities. Since that launch, participants have achieved high credential completion and strong employment outcomes, proving that inclusive, hands-on training can transform lives and meet industry needs.

The VersAbility Connection
VersAbility TECH is an initiative of VersAbility Resources, a trusted nonprofit with decades of experience supporting people with disabilities across Hampton Roads. Building on that legacy, the VersAbility TECH extends VersAbility’s mission into advanced workforce training – combining proven disability supports with industry-driven education, employer partnerships, and long-term job coaching. Together, VersAbility Resources and VersAbility TECH create a continuum of services that spans evaluation, training, employment, and retention.
